Lines and branches explore our manipulation of the natural world, specifically trees and other plants, through bending, trimming, and grafting. The combination of processed wood and organic forms evokes prosthetics attempting to return a mechanically-altered material to its natural state. Some pieces balance on end, held against the wall by a single string. This further highlights the precarious tension we have created between ourselves and nature, between our past and present actions and the effect they will have on the earth’s future.
